What We Need

Corpay cross border is currently on the lookout for a highly organised person to join our APAC Operations Team in Sydney Australia, as an Operations Associate. Your focus will be reviewing and processing Foreign Exchange transactions (FX), Beneficiary templates and outbound Payments. You’ll be responsible for monitoring the APAC team inboxes, actioning tasks and liaising with front and back-office departments. You will be a key contributor to maintaining the service levels and efficiency of the APAC Operations team!

Role Responsibilities

 

We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and highly organised person to join our team as an Operations Associate. As part of a Global Operations Unit, you will play a crucial role in managing Spot, Forward and Option deals, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer payments and processing Foreign Exchange Transactions (FX). You’ll be responsible for handling outgoing funds with one of the world’s largest non-bank payment remitters and hedging specialists. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance administration, excellent data entry skills, and a keen eye for accuracy.

 

Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following activities:

 

  • Processing FX deals (Spot deals, drawdowns, deal amendments, expiry options)
  • Review and Cancel/Amend/Modify Foreign Exchange transactions
  • Formatting beneficiary information, setting up international money transfers
  • Manage client ledger balances and creating client currency accounts
  • Monitor the Transactions and Settlements team inboxes, actioning tasks and liaising with front and back-office departments
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to other finance and accounting team members as needed.

 

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can competently work autonomously and manage your own workload. You are computer literate with touch-typing skills and hold a high level of attention to detail. The ideal candidate has experience collecting outstanding receivables, resolving customer inquiries, maintaining accurate account reconciliations, and ensuring data integrity. You pride yourself on your accuracy and have great time management skills. Having previous work experience in payments or banking in an office setting is a plus.

 

To be considered for this role, you must have the following skills and experience:

 

  • Previous payments or banking experience in an office setting preferred, but not required
  • Proficient computer skills, ideally intermediate or advanced Excel experience
  • Strong analytical mindset with high data entry accuracy
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative, team-focused approach.
  • Organised, deadline-driven, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
