Shared Services Accountant
What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire an Accountant I within our Accounting and Finance division. This position falls under our Corporate line of business and is located in Brentwood, TN. In this role, you will develop, test, and implement new systems, procedures and controls as needed. Define processes and provide operational support in order to ensure standard procedures are documented and followed. Analyze financial data, report trends, and identify root causes of issues. You will report directly to the Divisional Controller and regularly collaborate with various departments.

As an Accountant you will be expected to work in an office environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:
- Assigned workspace in Brentwood, TN office

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close processes
- Oversee and maintain recording and reconciling of Accounts Payable accruals
- Maintain and accurately record monthly prepaid expenses
- Support monthly expense variance analysis
- Prepare Inter-company transactions, reconciliations and journal entries
- Preparation of various month-end reports provided to management
- Assist with audits and interface with the internal and external audit team
- Maintains financial data files for accuracy and completeness
- Reconciles and investigate reports discrepancies
- Interface with management in various departments
- Assists accounting department with special projects as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Entry level position; up to 2 years of experience
- Strong technical accounting background
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Team player and have ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout company organization
- Ability to adapt to change and identify areas for process improvements
- Ability for minimal travel for training and team development
