Receiving/Warehouse Manager $80,000 per year
A Receiving Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining Guest Services, all the tasks involved with smooth daily operations of the Receiving Area and processing of casino merchandise to the floor and/or stock room, all documentation related to that function as well as the hiring and training of associates and their productivity
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Oversees the receiving process (on site and off). Verifies all merchandise deliveries according to Company standards.
- Ensures timely and accurate input of all freight information through the Inventory Management System.
- Ensures the proper receiving procedures are used for control of shortages.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Licenses:
- A casino work permit from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
- The Receiving/Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overseeing the Receiving department processes. Regarding the supervision of employees, however, this position is limited to making suggestions or recommendations regarding the staff to the Chief Human Resources Officer & Vice President, who holds a Key Employee or Officer License. The Chief Human Resources Officer & Vice President is the position that makes managerial decisions on behalf of Receiving department. The Receiving/Warehouse Manager understands and acknowledges he/she cannot take any action that would require a Key Employee license.
Work Experience: Overseeing, Developing Budgets, Safety Management, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Surveillance Skills, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information , Equipment Maintenance, Judgment, Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system, ability to communicate with associates and guests, ability to read, count, and write accurately complete all documentation, ability to visually use all purchase codes and other shipping documentation, ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, register area, and office, ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to manage a store, ability to climb ladders, ability to move and handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-75 pounds, ability to work varied hours/days to oversee casino operations.
SCHEDULED HOURS
Commerce Casino operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. Schedules may vary depending on business needs.
