The Finance Assistant is responsible for overseeing and performing a wide variety of finance support activities for and/or on behalf of CFO and corresponding departments. Serving as one of the primary points of senior level communications with internal and external parties, the Finance Assistant exercises a high level of independent discretion and plays a key role in carrying out the goals of the organization. 


PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):

1.    Provides high-level administrative support to the CFO and corresponding departments including tasks like managing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and handling confidential information.
2.    Provide support to CFO departments’ daily activities including processing, recording, and updating transactions.
3.    Maintain a wide variety of financial information, files and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.
4.    Assist with internal control functions by providing support to various departments duties to be in compliance with proper segregation of duties.
5.    Respond to inquiries from a wide variety of resources – inter-department, outside customers, players, etc. 
6.    Provide support for corporate-related activities as needed.
7.    Performs all other work-related duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience:  

⦁    Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting at the executive level; demonstrated experience with supporting multiple executives preferred
⦁    Solid experience with event planning and project coordination/management; documentation and reporting
⦁    Experience with mail room operations preferred.

Education:  
⦁    Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Knowledge and Skills: 
⦁    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
⦁    Superior calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex executive meetings
⦁    Strong organizational skills; accurate work results and ability to handle multiple projects as needed
⦁    Familiarity with financial transactions and preferably accounting.
⦁    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; comfortable with general computer usage including Internet research.
⦁    Exceptional multi-tasking and problem-solving skills 
⦁    Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills.

⦁    Ability to meet scheduled deadlines with minimal supervision
⦁    Ability to take and transcribe meeting notes into accurate, complete minutes
⦁    Strong initiative and the ability to represent the executive in their scope of responsibilities appropriately
⦁    Able to function within tight and constantly changing deadlines; anticipates needs, responds rapidly to new challenges, and adapts to priorities accordingly.
