The Senior Program Director (SPD) is responsible for overseeing all facets of multiple programs including financial, educational, advocacy and administrative services. Builds key relationships with all significant contacts (internal & external) including funders, licensing agents, school and community leaders, parents, participants, program directors, support staff and relevant department leads and supervisors. He/she strategizes with appropriate personnel to ensure the optimal delivery of high-quality services. Responsible for the strategic oversight of monitoring budget, audits and all components of program compliance and assisting in administration of various aspects of the division.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide supervision, coaching and feedback to program leadership and line staff.
  • Oversee all operations of the program(s) to ensure the utilization rate, census, and productivity goals are achieved.
  • Ensurethecost-effectivedeliveryofhigh-qualityservicestothefamiliesservedbythe program(s)and the smooth operation of the program(s).
  • Prepares for audits and meets with auditors from various regulatory agencies.
  • Develops and implements response and/or changes of policies/procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Meet performance expectations/metrics as defined for the position within the assigned program.
  • Communicate program aspects throughout the agency and oversee community engagement and outreach.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages several Program Directors responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of their respective Programs. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency policies and applicable laws. Deep understanding and knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) where applicable. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining employees, performance reviews, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field.
  • 5years' experience in a similar role, minimum of 2years' supervising staff.
  • Demonstrated competence in early childhood, supervision, training facilitation, and working knowledge of community program administration and planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn other online platforms.
  • Ability to plan and carryout assignments independently.
  • Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.
