CCBHC - Clinical Supervisor
Summary
The Clinical Supervisor for Crisis Services is responsible for providing direct supervision to clinical staff within the CCBHC Program. The Clinical Supervisor-Crisis Services oversees the Crisis Receiving and Stabilization services of the CCBHC. The Clinical Supervisor ensures the clinical and administrative practices of individual clinicians meet agency expectations.
Essential Functions:
- Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and support to assigned clinicians ensuring client care is consistent with standards of best practice and meets principles of social work/counseling practice.
- Oversee crisis intervention services and pre-admission assessments for community members and CCBHC clients in crisis.
- Coordinate care with other behavioral health, physical health, and social services systems in the community.
- Perform clinical assessments to determine appropriate levels of care and support suicide prevention efforts.
- Train and mentor staff, fostering a supportive and knowledgeable team environment.
- Maintains clinical supervision logs to ensure appropriate clinical supervision is provided; conducts chart reviews to assess clinician practice and track and trend patterns of non-compliance with best practice standards; discuss findings and provide training to address identified clinical practice challenges.
- Provide consultation and support to staff, offer case conferences, as needed including being available for staff to debrief about difficult client situations.
- Work collaboratively with the CCBHC Interdisciplinary Team and external agencies/stakeholders.
- Cooperate and assist with incident management requirements, UR/UM and other quality assurance and CQI expectations.
- Assist in meeting program goals and objectives.
- Maintains open and active caseload (number of clients determined with supervisor) and meets productivity and practice expectations.
- Supervise and participate in student intern program, as applicable.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Program/Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the agency policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, rewarding, disciplining employees, performance reviews, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
- 5 years of social work experience.
- Strong clinical assessment skills.
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Aptitude for training staff.
- Bilingual in one or more of the following: Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali and others, may be required depending on client needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a CCBHC.
- Previous experience in crisis intervention supervisory roles.
- Experience with audit, quality assurance and quality improvement activities.
- Proficiency in Welligent.
