IT Operations Automation Specialist, Fully Remote
Role Overview
Centauri Health Solutions is seeking an IT Operations Automation Specialist to join our Software Engineering team! In this fully remote position, you'll identify, design, and implement automation solutions to streamline and improve workflows. You'll use your experience with automation tools, scripting languages, artificial intelligence and machine learning to engineer new solutions as well as analyze existing processes and recommend efficiencies in the interest of reducing manual efforts, improving response times, and increasing service delivery quality. You'll collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders across IT and Operations to ensure that automation solutions align with business objectives and operational goals.
Role Responsibilities:
Automation & Workflow Improvement
- Analyze existing workflows and processes within the Service Desk, Application Support teams, broader IT departments, and Operations to identify opportunities for automation.
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual workloads, and streamline cross-departmental workflows.
- Maintain automation scripts and tools, ensuring they are optimized and updated based on the evolving needs of IT and Operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT Infrastructure, Development, and Operations, to ensure smooth integration of automated workflows across systems and applications
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with Service Desk, Application Support teams, and broader IT and Operations stakeholders to gather requirements and implement automation initiatives.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation tools used across IT and Operations teams.
- Act as a liaison between service teams, IT developers, and Operations staff to ensure clear communication of automation needs and opportunities
Documentation & Training
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automated processes and tools to ensure knowledge transfer and sustainability of solutions across IT and Operations.
- Provide training to team members in IT and Operations on how to use and benefit from automation tools effectively.
Special Projects
- Assist in identifying emerging technologies and strategies that can be applied to further streamline IT and Operations processes.
- Lead special projects related to process improvement and automation as assigned by the Manager, IT Service Excellence.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT automation, process improvement, or related roles.
- Experience with industry standard automation tools such as Zapier, Power Automate, UiPath, Make, etc.
- Script development and API integration experience; interview will include a coding challenge.
- Prior experience working in or with Service Desk or Application Support teams is a plus.
