Accounting/Finance - Analyst

Position Overview:

The Accounting/Business Analyst plays a key role in analyzing financial data and business operations to support decision-making in a grocery distribution environment. This role is responsible for performing financial reporting, cost analysis, forecasting, and business performance evaluation to improve efficiency and profitability across the supply chain.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and financial modeling.
• Partner with operations, procurement, logistics, and merchandising teams to evaluate business performance and support strategic initiatives.
• Assist with general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
• Conduct margin and pricing analysis to support product and customer profitability reviews.
• Evaluate and streamline financial processes for efficiency and compliance with internal controls.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs to track business and operational metrics.

• Support enterprise accounting systems (e.g., ERP platforms MS Access, Excel, document storage and workflow software).

• Design, build, and maintain standard and ad hoc financial reports and models using tools such as MS Access and Excel

• Performing other duties as assigned by leadership

Environment:

• Warehouse Office – approx. 65F – 75F

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00am - 5:30pm

Experience:

• Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in Accounting
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
• Preferred: Experience with financial systems, reporting, and general ledgers.
• Preferred: Experience with programming/scripting tools such as Python or VBA
• Preferred: Wholesale and Retail experience preferred.
• Preferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership
