PATH - Paid Intern
Job Description
Legacy Behavioral Health Services is offering PAID PATH therapist internship opportunities.
Under general supervision of the PATH Team Lead, the PATH intern performs targeted outreach focusing on individuals suspected of having serious mental illness and are literally homeless to assist with connection to outpatient services and if the individual fits PATH criteria, enrolling into PATH case management. Extensive documentation required; accurately charts services rendered ; provides referrals, and chart client’s progress in HMIS system utilizing SOAP note format. Must be able to work well as part of a team and work with a wide array of community organizations. Outreach and case management is provided in a community setting with in-office time focused on documenting. Outreach and case management is performed in all weather conditions and with some job duties including some strenuous activity and other duties assigned.
This position requires:
- Current graduate student pursuing a qualifying Master’s Degree in Social Work
- Planning to pursue licensure
- Someone who is dedicated to quality work
- Someone who is a self-starter and goal orientated
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork
- Computer experience

Working Conditions:
Must be physically and emotionally fit to work in a stress-filled environment to meet deadlines and deal with routine and crisis situations. Requires varying hours of duty to provide monitoring, educational and/or crisis handling, as well as travel to off-campus locations in LBHS or personal vehicle.

Legacy Behavioral Health Services is offering PAID 600 hour APEX therapist internship opportunities. APEX interns will work as part of the Apex Program which is an extension of therapy services within the school systems we serve, providing individual and family sessions within the school setting. Apex Therapists and Interns work closely with school counselors, social workers, teachers, and administration staff to wrap around the student to help them succeed. We work closely with the Legacy clinic staff to have appointments scheduled with both the nurse and doctor and provide this information to the families and schools as needed. Apex is a rewarding way to serve students in a non-traditional setting. Are you ready to step into an internship role?

- Current graduate student pursuing a qualifying Master’s Degree in MFT, Psychology, or Social Work
- Willing to complete a service agreement after graduation.
