Summary / Objective

The Regional Vice President’s primary job function is to create and communicate a clear vision of the company’s business expectations, motivating and driving the company’s culture through the respective Regional Managers to achieve maximum productivity.   This position is fully responsible for the success of a group of Regional Managers by directing all operational aspects of the region.  This position is to lead their team to attain revenue and profit through the attraction, training, development and retention of a diverse, quality workforce focused on the company’s quality customer care.   This position is responsible in the development of the company’s growth initiative and new store development.    The Regional Vice President is responsible for establishing and maintaining ethical standards as a Bestway Ambassador and set the example to all subordinates within their region in ethical decision making skills.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage and direct a geographic group of stores normally consisting of 40 to 50 store locations.

 

Leadership, Staffing

  • Ensuring that Regional Managers effectively supervise store management to meet store goals and expectations, planning, organizing and delegating all pertinent tasks and direction.

  • Providing on-going development for Regional Managers by conducting training and operational meetings with not only Regional Managers but periodically attending and evaluating the store manager, assistant manager and sales rep meetings in respective market areas.

  • Develop the Regional managers in their abilities to execute the company’s policies and procedures with creating a customer experience and coworker development through the evaluation of the CPS, store visits and operational performance.

  • Ensure that the Regional managers are focusing on maintaining a positive work environment with open communications and resolution of problems free from discrimination and harassment.

  • Responsible for always setting and establishing through an example of demonstration of a high level of integrity, maintaining a professional relationship with coworkers and being fully compliant with Bestway’ s BFF and Code of Ethics.

  • Responsible for maintaining a focus on attracting a diverse, quality applicant pool to ensure locations are consistently staffed with friendly coworkers with a desire to follow the True North Guidelines and that have good communication skills

  • Responsible for creating an environment inside and outside of the company that will attract and retain coworkers

  • Responsible for monitoring turnover, identifying issues creating turnover and implementing solutions to correct staffing issues

  • Responsible for ensuring that the Company’s Top Training is being executed for the development of the coworkers for growth and succession planning

     

Planning/Controls

  • Establish priorities and maintain a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly “to do” list and ensure that critical initiatives are implemented, completed and follow up occurs.

  • Review and evaluate 5 Star Audits to ensure compliance, asset protection and to evaluate for planning purposes to follow up and provide assistance and direction in correcting any deficiencies

  • Regular monitoring of the progress of the Regional managers with an attention to how well they are implementing, addressing and following up on key initiatives

  • Monitor all operational reports to ensure security of monetary and physical company assets

  • Develop and provide input for the business growth by identifying new location opportunities and evaluating competition in areas for relocation purposes

  • Develop a coworker plan for promoting from within for new store development and new Regional opportunities

 

Organizational Strategy

  • Maintain competitive awareness by continuously monitoring the competition

  • Serve as a key strategic partner with Executive Leadership by proactively implementing strategies to stay ahead of the competition

 

Administration

  • Responsible for ensuring that all expense reports are reviewed and approved for respective Regional Managers

  • Review and approve all required hiring/firing in Dayforce and compensation exceptions

  • Ensure all respective Regional Managers are aware of all required administrative duties

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 years in multi-unit leadership and management

Previous rent to own experience required

50% to 70% travel required

Understands and manages to budgets and P&Ls

Friendly with exceptional communication skills

Organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task

Basic computer skills application knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel

 

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position.  Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturdays as required and, additional hours as needed.
