The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting for the Asbury operational teams. This position will lead various financial processes and tasks, including short- and long-term forecasting, developing internal databases, driving best practices, month-end management reporting, process implementation, and trend analysis. The role will work closely with a broad stakeholder group composed of Executives, Market Directors, General Managers, and Controllers, and will be a critical part of the team making operational decisions for very complex and important parts of the business.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop market/brand specific financial models and decision frameworks enabling the business to manage the inventory portfolio
- Partner with key stakeholders to automate data analysis to accelerate decision making and focus efforts on strategic recommendations
- Streamline reporting to deliver a balance between detailed metrics and higher-level operational dashboards
- Learn Asbury’s accounting methodology and incorporate it in the forecasting process
- Work with Financial Systems and Operational teams in annual budget preparation, and monitor budget adherence, identifying opportunities for cost optimization
- Recommend process improvements and serve on teams to design and implement solutions
- Partner with Internal Auditors to ensure operational teams comply with Asbury policies and procedures and communicate any deviation from these policies
- Assist with ad hoc analysis, addressing questions from various departments and the Executive team
- Support the operational teams through reporting analysis and trend reporting
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
