The Director of Information Technology Application establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals for the IT applications/provisioning team. Analyzes the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or working with vendors on changes needed for information processing systems.

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manages the research and selection of IT and business applications and supplies
  • Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function (provisioning, vendor management, contracts review, and invoice reconciliation
  • Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the applications
  • Develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure
  • Deep knowledge of Dealer management systems and of the overall automotive departmental functions
  • Evaluates existing applications to determine technical changes, schedules projects, resources, and monitors project timelines
  • Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5-8 years Dealer Management Experience
  • 5 years Personnel Managerial Experience
  • Project Management Experience
  • At least 5 years of experience working with DMS application support and implementation
  • Experience working with Dealer Management Systems and related/integrated products
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • An understanding of Windows based client/server applications is preferred
  • PPM Certification or equivalent Project Management experience
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have experience using Microsoft Office
  • An understanding of Windows based client/server applications is preferred
  • An understanding of Virtual Machine technology is preferred
