Used Car Buyer
The Used Car Buyer at Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Avondale is tasked with enhancing the dealership's inventory by actively seeking and acquiring vehicles. This role demands a dedicated and skilled professional who will utilize a variety of resources to connect with private sellers interested in selling their vehicles. Key strategies for prospecting include leveraging third-party websites, utilizing lead sources, engaging with customers in the service drive, and capitalizing on walk-in opportunities. The Used Car Buyer will regularly interact with customers, both in person and over the phone, primarily focusing on cold outreach to individuals who have listed their vehicles for sale.
Position Overview:
The Used Car Buyer is essential for enhancing the dealership's inventory through the acquisition of customer vehicles. This role provides flexible working hours, an hourly wage, and a bonus for each vehicle successfully acquired.
Job Responsibilities:
- Address incoming leads from Asbury and external websites.
- Leverage all available resources to identify and connect with private sellers.
- Arrange appointments with prospective sellers for vehicle appraisals.
- Evaluate vehicle condition reports and establish potential offers.
- Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the day, both online and via phone.
- Direct customers to the Sales Team if they express interest in trading in their vehicle rather than selling it outright.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to set and achieve goals.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to deliver an exceptional experience.
- Excellent communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and follow-up abilities.
- Comfortable using technology and research tools.
- Ability to assess vehicle value and make sound purchasing decisions.
- Valid in-state driver’s license with a safe driving record.
