The Accounting Compliance Manager position is responsible for analyzing the month end processing data to ensure compliance with revenue recognition and our Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Controls. The Compliance Manager will review and analyze each month end task to ensure completeness and accuracy in the closing process including the compensation accrual process.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Analyzes each month end task per the checklist provided to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance as per Asbury’s policy and procedures.
- Documents any items reflecting training, completeness or compliance issues found during the review
- Weekly Summary Report preparation and presentation to the DSS SR Director.
- Reviews Balance Sheet and Income Statement and account usage review for compliance as per Asbury’s policy and procedures
- Reviews and analyzes completed Reconciliations of Bank, Floorplan, Manufacturer and Retail Delivery report for each store to identify any issues relating to compliance, completeness, and any training issues.
- Analyzes the results of the review and offering suggestions to improve the task or process to meet the required policy or procedure
- Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization
Education & Experience
- Prior Automotive experience desired
- Minimum of 2 years in Dealership Managerial Role or Controller Role
- AS/BA/BS in Accounting required
