The Senior Benefits Analyst will play a key role in Asbury’s strategic goal of operational excellence.  The position will report to the Director of Benefits and will be responsible for financial reporting, analysis, data integrity, compliance and other related projects. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Creates and prepare monthly executive dashboards
  • Tracks monthly expenses
  • Collects, analyzes, and summarizes data and trends
  • Queries multiple databases and transmit census data to third party vendors
  • Participates in surveys and Benchmark best practices; research industry and employment trends; track legislation and estimate the impact
  • Collaborates with other departments particularly the payroll, IT and Finance
  • 401K NDT testing and annual true up
  • Reviews and reconcile annual 1095’s and 1094 transmittal prepared by third party
  • Annual 5500 submissions
  • ACA Compliance including monitoring hours worked by part time team members
  • User Acceptance Testing related to system updates and configuration including the third-party benefit administration system (Bswift) for the Annual Enrollment configuration
  • Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics
  • 3-6 years of professional experience in human resources, benefits, payroll, or finance.
  • Must be comfortable working with large sets of data and pulling data from multiple systems
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel (ie V-Look ups, Pivot Tables)
  • Experience with creating reports with Access
  • Must be willing to learn Cognos, XML and File Transfer Protocol
  • Experience with, iCims, UKG, Cognos or Bswift is a plus
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus
  • The position will have limited travel requirement, less than 10%.
