Project Manager, Clinical Applications
Job Summary:
The Clinical Applications Project Manager will be responsible for managing the clinical product portfolio from intake to support delivery. As a Project Manager, this role will lead teams to deliver projects that span across multiple business units and ensure successful and on-time project delivery. They will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of your projects, including managing resources, schedules, financials, issues, and risks. The Project Manager will also contribute to process improvement initiatives as they relate to improving project delivery and will be managing projects related to eCW EHR, telemedicine, point of care medical devices and interfaces, remote patient monitoring, devices and interfaces, provider and patient portals. The ideal candidate will have a blend of experience working in fast paced, visible roles with a focus on process execution, impeccable communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work within deadlines. The ability to coordinate across departments and partner with various levels of stakeholders is vital to success.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans for multiple projects including timelines, SOPs, project plans, meeting notes, milestones, issues logs and resource allocation from kickoff to go live with effective transition plans to the support team
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential issues
- Drive to deliverables based on established timelines, and partner with key stakeholders and executive sponsors when timelines require reevaluation
Coordinate Cross Functional teams:
- Build and lead project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
- Assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor team progress towards project goals
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment
Communication:
- Act as the main point of contact for project-related communications
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and milestones
- Facilitate effective communication within the project team
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that project lifecycle deliverables meet high-quality standards
- Implement and maintain project management best practices
Problem Solving:
- Identify potential issues and proactively develop solutions
- Address challenges promptly to keep the project on track
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation
- Compile reports on project progress, risks and obstacles, milestones, post project evaluations, and other relevant metrics
- Stay current with industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation
Effective Team Member:
- Lead the culture of safety, respect, customer service, and continuous improvement across Market Enablement and the organization
- Consistently demonstrate a high level of teamwork, partnership, and collaboration

- Two to five years progressive experience in project management for clinical software applications including eCW/EHR, and clinical devices

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Health Administration, Education, Nursing Informatics, Business, Information Technology preferred or related field or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years clinical application project management experience in healthcare industry preferred
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies desired
- Lean Management or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
- Experience working with eCW EMR systems or other large EMREpic, Cerner, etc) preferred
- Functional Knowledge of HL7 and/or interfaces, data feeds, clinical workflows
- Expert level Microsoft Word, Excel, Smartsheet, and PowerPoint skills preferred
