Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler who will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring the efficient handling and movement of materials within our facility. As a Material Handler, you will work closely with various departments to manage inventory and support the production team. This role involves operating machinery and equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move products to and from storage locations, ensuring that materials are organized, accessible, and properly stored. You will be tasked with loading and unloading shipments, monitoring inventory levels, and conducting regular quality checks to guarantee that all products meet our high standards. Additionally, safety is a top priority in our workplace; therefore, you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials within the facility.
• Load and unload materials and products from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and update the inventory management system as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and perform basic maintenance to ensure they are safe and functional.
• Organize and store materials in designated areas to optimize space and ensure ease of access.
• Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Collaborate with team members and departments to facilitate efficient workflows and support production needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in material handling or logistics preferred.
• Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Valid forklift operator certification and experience operating different types of material handling equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and ability to comply with occupational safety regulations.
• Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
