Commercial Lines Certificate Coordinator

SUMMARY
Responsible for reviewing Certificates of Insurance and corresponding endorsements on all contracted accounts, meeting the agency standard of twenty-four hour turn-around.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works with Producer/Broker/Account Manager team to establish and maintain a satisfied client relationship;
• Establishes and maintains a client portal in Alliant Connect for real time client access;
• Receives and uploads insured contract requirements into the tracking system;
• Reviews certificates submitted to the insured for approval;
• Identifies deficiencies and possible insurance exposures for clients;
• Communicates possible insurance issues with the production team including potential leads for new business;
• Gathers and verifies information required for preparing certificates of insurance and corresponding endorsements;
• Prepares certificates and endorsements in accordance with carrier policy and procedures;
• Processes all completed certificates on a daily basis;
• Attends client meetings where necessary;
• Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two (2) or more years related work experience
Valid insurance license, or ability to obtain a license within 90 days of employment
Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by supervisor
SKILLS
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills
Good problem solving and time management skills
Intermediate typing skills (30-35 wpm)
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
