Position Summary:

Albright College seeks a creative, detail-oriented, and highly organized Advancement Events Planner to lead the planning and execution of events that support the College’s advancement and alumni engagement efforts. This position plays a key role in enhancing donor and alumni experiences through strategic event design and delivery, supporting the College’s fundraising and stewardship priorities.

Working in close collaboration with Advancement leadership, alumni relations, development officers, and campus partners, the Advancement Events Planner will manage a wide range of in-person and virtual events, including donor receptions, stewardship gatherings, fundraising events, and signature programs such as Homecoming and Commencement-related functions.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute high-impact events that support donor cultivation, stewardship, alumni engagement, and institutional fundraising goals.
  • Serve as lead project manager for Advancement events, overseeing event timelines, budgets, logistics, and vendor coordination.
  • Lead the advancement team efforts relating to Homecoming, Commencement, and a newly created fundraising Gala.
  • Collaborate with development and alumni relations staff to align event programming with engagement strategies for major donors, alumni, and prospects.
  • Manage event communications, including invitations, RSVP tracking, signage, and promotional materials, in collaboration with the Office of Communications.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of large-scale events such as Homecoming, class reunions, and campaign celebrations.
  • Oversee event data tracking and post-event evaluation to assess outcomes and inform future planning.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM (Slate) to support donor stewardship and engagement history.
  • Ensure a high standard of hospitality and professionalism in all aspects of event planning and execution.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning, development, alumni relations, or related fields
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating high-profile events with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management platforms; experience with CRM systems (Slate preferred)
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends in support of events

Preferred

  • Experience in higher education or nonprofit advancement
  • Familiarity with donor engagement strategies and alumni programming
  • Knowledge of event production, catering, and A/V coordination

Salary is commensurate with experience and competitive with peer institutions.
