Assistant Sports Information Director
The Assistant Sports Information Director for Digital Media Creation will collaborate with the Sports Information Director (SID) and is responsible for leading the creative direction and content for Albright Athletics video production and social media platforms. Responsibilities will include cultivating fan engagement through video production and digital media content for Albright College’s NCAA Division III athletic programs. Performing live statistics during home athletic events will be a secondary duty. Other duties as assigned by the SID or other athletics department officials.
Essential Job Functions:
1. In consultation and collaboration with other members of the Athletics staff, develop social media content for all social media accounts that support Albright Athletics and the individual athletic teams.
2. Produce and create graphics to be featured on Albright’s social media channels. This includes but is not limited to game day, team milestones, individual milestones, schedule or record-breaking graphics.
3. Produce and publish video on demand for the Athletic Department. This includes but is not limited to post-game highlights, features, event previews, and especially videos.
4. Train, schedule, and collaborate with student workers and staff to support social media content calendars and video production efforts.
5. Conceptualize and produce the annual end of the year Albright athletics celebration footage and content.
6. Attend Albright athletic home events taking photos for social media and the Albright athletics website. Capture video footage to be featured on all Albright social media channels.
7. Management of Athletic Department photo images inventory and archives.
8. Possess and maintain technical expertise, track industry trends and innovations in the field.
9. Perform other job-related duties as needed, or as assigned by the Sports Information Director or Athletic Senior Leadership.
10. Travel with teams during the Middle Atlantic Conference and NCAA postseason tournaments to capture and create content.
11. Compile statistics during live sporting events.
12. Other duties as assigned.
