Leave & Workers Compensation Program Specialist
Job Summary
The Leave & Workers Compensation Program Specialist is directly responsible for the day to day administration of the organization-wide Leave of Absence, ADA, and Worker’s Compensation programs in adherence to local, state and federal mandates. They effectively coordinate all cases/claims to include general administration, comprehensive case management and program compliance.
Essential Job Functions *
- Act as the main point of contact and provide extensive case management for all leave of absence requests and worker’s compensation claims; coordinates administrative aspects of the cases and claims, communicating directly with employees, supervisors, and other internal teams.
- Coordinate and administer work procedures and policies for leaves of absence and workers’ compensation claims, and sends applicable case updates to employees, managers and HRBP’s.
- Ensures that the workers’ compensation program is managed in accordance with applicable OSHA and workers’ compensation laws; Conducts investigations regarding incidents, interviews relevant parties and coordinates medical treatment/care as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all leave of absence regulations, updating processes as needed to comply with federal and state legislation (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.)
- Responsible for all regulatory reporting required for programs.
- Facilitate back-to-work programs and modified duty for injured workers.
- Manages all administrative aspects of leave and workers’ compensation claims to ensure that pay for employees is accurate and correct.
- Produces and manages reporting metrics and analytics for all leave cases and workers’ compensation claims. Presents reports as requested
- Assists in the creation and facilitation of leave administration and workers’ compensation training programs.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of (3) years of experience with workers’ compensation and leaves of absence, preferably in a multi-state environment.
