Job Summary

 

The Senior Category Management Analyst is responsible for developing strategic planning initiatives surrounding Hillman Group’s short-term and long-term business objectives. The focus is on the preparation and presentation of business strategy, providing insight/direction to ensure continued profitable growth for the organization. The position is accountable for providing analytical support to senior management as part of the Corporate Category Management team. This position works closely across the breadth of Hillman Functions, with ongoing relationships with team members from Category Management, Pricing Management, and PMO.  Incremental support for Product Management, Finance, and ELT.

 

Essential Job Functions*

 

  • Strategic Initiatives: Develop strategic initiative proposals including clear analysis of the issue, external influences, business case, benefits, and risks.
  • Executive Meetings: Responsible for development of agenda, management of Functional input and materials, control of logistics for Management review, and communications with cross-functional team on deadlines and material needed.
  • Research: Expected to research and understand key trends within the industry Hillman participates in as well as external trends that could impact the future of the industry.
  • Ad hoc Requests: Develop timely responses to various ad hoc requests from Senior Management.
  • Develop consumable and repeatable reports to aid in business decisions using advanced BI tools and reporting theories.
  • Support and create nimble deal volumetrics to understand top and bottom-line implications of small to large deals with our current and new customers.
  • Support Hillmans corporate functions with advanced analytics to ensure complete alignment and understanding of business implications.

Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering or Finance. MBA preferred.
  • 5 years of directly related professional level Business Development, Business Analyst, Program Management, or equivalent experience.
