POSITION SUMMARY
Working under the HRIS Manager, the HRIS (Human Resource Information System) Assistant supports the day-to day maintenance of all HRIS systems and related projects to ensure efficient HR operations and data accuracy. The HRIS Assistant helps manage employee data, assistants in troubleshooting systems, and provides superior customer service related to all HRIS functions.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Maintains and updates employee records in the HRIS with high accuracy and confidentiality.
• Provides support for all regular administrative reports on HR-related data for internal and external sources. Assists with providing ad hoc reports to leadership, HR colleagues and others as needed.
• Helps maintain organized and up-to-date electronic employee records in compliance with all state, local, federal laws and internal company policies and procedures.
• Responds to employees' requests for information and support on the HR data systems.
• Assists in data audits to ensure consistency and integrity across all HRIS systems.
• Maintains HR system documentation and process guides.
• Provides first-line support to HR staff and employees regarding HRIS issues or queries
• Ensures that all required documentation (paper and electronic) is completed /processed appropriately, in a timely manner, and meets quality and compliance thresholds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Coordinates, supports, attends and participates in all required events/ meetings/ reviews/ committees, including ones outside of standard working hours.
• Completes all agency and department training as required.
• Attends support and department meetings as required.
• Meets all job requirements and stays in compliance.
• Adheres to FREE’s standard of ethical behavior as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct as well as applicable laws and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: High School Diploma required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-year experience in Human Resources or related field.
• Specialized Training, Licenses, Certifications:
o Not required, training will be provided upon hire as needed
• Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
o Knowledgeable of Human Resources functions and related Local, State, and Federal laws
o Critical Thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify problems and address the strength and weaknesses of alternative solutions and suggestions o Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve HRIS-related issues
o Verbal Communication – ability to talk to others and convey information that is clear and concise
o Time Management – ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
o Excellent Analytical skills
o Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel (specifically V-lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas, and Charts/Graphs)

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is performed in-person.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Employee is required to sit, walk and stand for prolonged period of time (at least 8 hours).
• Employee is required to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Employee is required to operate standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, fax and filing cabinets.
• Employee is required to reach with hands and arms.
• Employee is required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch or stand on a stool as needed.

The Pay Range for this job is $52,500.This range is based on what FREE reasonably believes it will pay an employee as for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors, including, but not limited to, an individual’s experience, qualifications, services provided, geographic location, relevant skills, and other factors permitted under federal, state, and local laws.
