Responsibilities:
- Assist drivers with the loading, unloading, pick-up, and delivery of goods and materials between DO & CO facilities, the airport, and vendors.
- Load and unload aircraft in accordance with airline and DO & CO specifications, ensuring flights are catered accurately and on time.
- Conduct vehicle checks before and after use, report any irregularities to dispatch, and ensure vehicles are fueled and maintained in working condition.
- Adhere to all airport, airline, and company regulations and policies, ensuring safe and compliant operations at all times.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations in line with the food safety management system, reporting any issues to the manager or hygiene team.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, supporting a culture of safety and compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dispatcher or Operations Manager.
Qualifications:
- Ability to meet TSA regulations to obtain a PANYNJ ID (Port Authority NY/NJ), specifically per 49 CFR §1542.209.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in loading, offloading, or related logistics operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Comfortable working in outdoor conditions, including extreme weather and high-noise environments.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 75 pounds and work at heights of up to 25 feet.
- Able to perform physical duties for extended periods (8+ hour shifts), including standing, bending, and lifting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including the ability to work different shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays).
