Senior Manager, Operational Risk & Controls

 

What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Senior Manager, Operational Risk & Controls within our Credit division. This position falls under our Corpay Cross-Border line of business and is located in Toronto. In this role, you will lead the Transactional Credit team and be responsible for managing and monitoring credit operational risks, including oversight of high-risk clients involved in FX transactions. You will report directly to the Head of Strategy and Initiatives and regularly collaborate with the Sales, Credit, and Compliance / Regulatory teams.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Establishing operational objectives, policies, procedures, and work plans, while delegating assignments to team members to ensure efficient execution.
  • Driving strategy and ensuring the success of larger projects that contribute to multiple functional areas across the organization.
  • Leading the Transactional Credit team to ensure efficient daily operations and a robust credit control environment.
  • Managing exception requests and credit-related escalations in close partnership with Sales and cross-functional teams.
  • Analyzing settlement activity, recalibrating settlement limits proactively, and enforcing restrictions to mitigate operational risk.
  • Reviewing and managing group settlement and CLIAB overdraft limits for Enterprise and Financial Institution clients with parent-child structures.
  • Identifying and managing high-risk transactions, implementing preventative controls to reduce exposure to fraud and settlement risk.

 

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Supervisory experience and 8+ years of technical experience in the area
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem solving.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
