Supply Chain and Logistic Analyst Remote Temp
The Supply Chain and Logistics Analyst is responsible for providing analytical and operational support throughout David’s Supply Chain. This role supports the maintenance, design, and improvement of the supply chain reporting landscape. The SSCA oversees the daily execution and tracking of inbound / outbound freight while working collectively across logistics interface programs to ensure that managed freight flows optimally throughout the Supply Chain. The SSCA leads David’s CTPAT program and partners with both internal and external businesses in Duty Drawback recovery.
Essential Functions:
Engineer business and process analysis using data and information provided by internal systems and outside sources. Identify and address breakdowns and opportunities in the supply chain process. In partnership with management, communicate results both internally and to outside business partners – 30%
- Lead team members to assess, document, and translate requirements into standardized solutions
Formulate, code general ledger, and partner with Director of Logistics / Finance team to manage all aspects of freight billing - 20%
- Analyze spend against contracted rates to guarantee proper billing.
- Research and process past due and balance due invoices from carriers. Maintain and update records.
Oversee inbound supply chain flow for Distribution Centers - 20%
- Primary point of contact for Logistics.
- Compile, evaluate and publish results daily
Ascertain and analyze Intelligent Audit (IA) reporting on weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual basis – 15%
- Develop reporting to identify areas of opportunities and identify change management opportunities.
- Project manage and lead cost savings initiatives in collaboration with IA and David’s Supply Chain team to develop and initiate cost savings initiatives.
- Work with Vendor Compliance on vendor partner shipping concerns and opportunities.
Execute and ensure compliance to the global trade compliance policy – 15%
- Create or revise SOPs and Work Instructions as needed.
- Anticipate regulatory changes related to trade compliance.
- Provide regulatory interpretation and implementation guidance to impacted geographies and businesses
Monitor and respond to majority of messages into logistics email box – 5%
- Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions
Provides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals – 5%
id and maintain all aspects the C-TPAT program – 5%
- Review, assess and update the written program on an annual basis in order to keep David’s Bridal enrolled and compliant in program
- Perform risk assessments
Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Required or Preferred)
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related filed preferred
Licenses / Certifications / Training:
Years of related experience: 5-10 years
Required Skills & abilities: Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook. Advanced Excel skills required including an ability to analyze tables, create queries, and use math to solve problems/analyze data
